Courtney Bruce, BAH, B.Ed
Courtney is a graduate of Queen's University with a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts Honours with a medial in Mathematics and French Language Studies. She was awarded the W. Hugo Evans Book Prize for French and was the Medalist for French Studies, with the highest academic standing in the program. Courtney was in the Concurrent Education program at Queen's. Her teachables are Math, French and Spanish. Courtney has tutored students since she was in Grade 11 and started this company through the Ontario Government Summer Student Program.
She was a student teacher at the Yew Chung International School of Beijing and her Bachelor of Education teaching practice was with the Peel District School Board, teaching Grade 11 and 12 Mathematics and Grades 9 and 11 French. She previously completed a High School Cooperative work term teaching Grade 7 and 8 French Immersion students. Her placements through her undergrad at Queen's University have been with Grade 5 and 8 levels (French Immersion) and with Grades 9, 10 and 12 levels in Mathematics at M.M. Robinson High School in the Halton School Board. Courtney has been a Teacher's Assistant, Proctor, worked in the Math Help Room and marked for Professors in the Mathematics Department at Queen's University.
